New layout

I don't like the new layout.

I like full width forums. All the stuff at the top is fine, but when you narrow down the center section it becomes very hard for me.

The stuff on the right was bad, but the new layout tonite is impossible for me.

I screwed up a few minutes ago and I'm trying to get help from Teh Fixer to put it back.

Ok, I got it back to where it was earlier today. I never intended to add the column on the left. That happened by mistake when I was trying something unrelated.

Bill, what is the resolution of your monitor? What we have lately, with the column on the right is quickly becoming the standard in the forum industry. But...for those with lower resolutions, it will take some getting used to.

It is probably ok with a widescreen, but it does pinch the pictures if they aren't posted correctly...duh, that's why they should be posted correctly!

Len,

I'm not one to complain, but it seems the 'current poll' header takes up a lot of real estate. even though it only covers a little bit at the top-right, it forces everything below to be narrower.

AJ, thanks for the feedback. Yes, it makes the forum to the left narrower but it gives me the ability to earn money for the site from the ads below it.

As I said above, most bigger forums are going this way.

From the "New Posts" button

to the poll in the upper right!
