The new ad block probs

The new ad block wrecktangle thing at the top of the page above the forums STALLS my DSL every time I change pages. I have to reload every page to read it. I guess thats so I really READ the ads?

Sorry for the problem. Can you tell me if there is a pattern as to a specific ad? Meanwhile, are you using Internet Explorer?

I am using IE, and sometimes I have to refresh to get a page to open or it takes a real loonngg time.

And, if you aren't afraid of the beta world you can try this. I run the beta version all of the time and it's even faster. Also, for a beta version it's stable and very usable.

I agree about FF vs IE. I know, you shouldn't have to use anything other than your favorite browser...but FF is so much better.

Teh Fixer explained to me that IE loads images before text, also. That is nuts. Even if the page loads slow for me, usually I can read, scroll, etc. while an image finishes loading.

But, if we ever find one ad particularly slow, let me know. Sometimes there is an answer.

I hate to beat an old horse but that dag Gum Chevy ad poping up in front of the quick link tool bar is Driving me nuts.

Mike, sorry. I have never seen that condition. When did it start.

And Teh Fixer is in seriously poor health and physically can't help me any more. I'll miss him. He is a great guy and helped me a LOT!
