How to edit first post?

I have a thread in the classified section that I would like to edit the text and swap my attachments. I can find the edit button on my last post but not all my posts. Is there a setting or something that needs to be changed? Thanks

The site software only allows you to edit your post for a certain period of time and after that it can't be edited.

Guys, For the classifieds this might be a useful solution to edit.

After some of the items from your origional post have sold, or if you wish to update the post with price changes or what not, you can simply quote yourself from the origional post and edit it that way. It will not take the place of the 1st post but it might be an easy way to update and keep the thread current. Then after you edit , simple add a line under the edited quote like " Updated 3-8-12"

Just a thought as I know some are needing a way to edit lists of items for sale.

    Jeff
