Buy a Browning Eclipse 1000, with a BOSS system, shoots 1/2 without Boss on with factory ammo. You can certainly improve that with BOSS and handloads? Maybe... No feeding issues .................. Period. No need for a custom gun either in 7WSM. Go Browning. Put your money into a Nightforce and start shooting bug holes. See if you better it with handloads. Mine shoots a 1/2 inch with older factory ammo that only has a .42 bc.

I'm having a 300 WSM being built by a fellow in Colorado that will be done this summer. The last rifle I had built was a .280 back in 1990. At this stage of my life about 95% of the big game hunting I do is for elk, and while I never crippled any elk with this the .280 I have passed up at least 3 or 4 through the years because of longer distances than I felt confortable shooting.
The ranch I guide Fly fisherman on in the summer [ In New Mexico) has a very nice range out to 500 yards and I'm looking forward to shooting and working up loads for this new rifle. I am hopeful I'll be ready to hunt with it in the fall of 2012.

300 win. Mag. And if the right 7MM came along...... Handload and fine tune a perfect cartridge for it. Heavy B.C. and make " Ma Bell " the 2nd. " Reach out and touch someone", ( animal).

Hmmm. I like the idea of a 7WSM but not too keen on Browning.
I brought a brand new .308 X Bolt about 8 months ago because I liked the feel of the stock and it fed beautifully. Best magazine I've seen on a factory rifle. The recoil pad was also a winner. But unfortunately this thing would not shoot better than just under 2moa.
I checked the forums and magazine write ups and that confirmed my findings. Then I had a look in the bore with my borescope. Looked like it had been chopped out with a hammer and chisel.
How Browning can justify a premium price on a dog like this is immoral. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to check rifle bores before purchase

    Dongle:

A well built 7 WSM never has feeding issues.
