I imagine many of the type of guys willing to take shots on animals at 1,000+ yards have killed more than they realized at the time...

This is not my longest but I was impressed by it. 373 yds
With a cva apex 35 whelen. 225gr nosler accubonds at 2800 fps
Not bad for a break open single shot.

Hi guys, Im new to the site. Live in South Africa KwaZulu Natal - most of my hunting is done in dense bush, so range is below 100meters most of the time. Great site with some interesting reading you have here. Regards, Johan

Wow, some very impressive shots. Mine would be a doe antelope at 402 yds 270 wsm eastern Wy!!

970 yd Antelope in area 35 NE of Cheyenne, Wy. 6.5-284, 140 gr VLD at 2880.
