I haven't had any major customer work for the last 2 months, so I got to work on my own stuff. I came out good on the cataract surgery, so I went ahead and built the iron sighted Rem 700 in .280 Remington. Trued the action and bolt, parkerized them, and fitted a Shilen #5 stainless barrel, 9 twist, crowned at 25". Stocked it in an Accurate Innovations AAA claro walnut hunter. Sights are a Lyman all steel long slide aperture rear and a Feinwerkbau globe front on a Remington ramp. JECustom donated both sights to the project.

I've got to learn how to post a picture. I really like this rifle. Hope I can do it justice shooting through the iron.

No reason to wait until next year. Tom

I guess im having a gun made in the next twelve months only thing is that Im doing the wrok on them. As of right now,

custom Ar15, shilen match barrel etc.

hot rod 7mm
lawton 8500 action
30" rock creek barrel
Manners stock
20MOA bases
remminton trigger tuned to 2-3lbs.
Actually having a different smith do this because I ordered the parts through him before I decided to got to gunsmithing school.

Next is a 300rum that will be a fathersday present so dont tell him

Sleeved remington 700LA
McMillan A4 Black, Blue & white
28" kriger barrel
trigger tuned to 2-3lbs
Night force rings and bases and will have a night force NXS sitting in them

The next two could take me awhile so I dont know if they will be within the next twelve months but it will be a 7-08 on a mauser and a 221 fireball on a some kind of action with some kind of stock. Got the mauser action and the barrels for both just ot the time to put them together yet.

As long as Bob Hart is around I will be having one or two built a year. Next project will be a 338 Hart on a 700 action 28" Hart barrel w/brake in a blue and white Mcmillan. Ive got stock and action just waiting on Bob to get barrel in.
