Savage Garage Sale 7RemMag McGowan Laminate Stock and others

I bought the LA Savage off of here last December and ended up making a 257 Roberts out of it rather than a 7 Mag. Here is that post for reference and info. Complete savage action, Mcgawen barrel and lam stock new price $435 shipped

Mcgowan 7 Mag small shank barrel stainless varmint taper 7mm mag barrel 26" has 100 rounds through it. Sold

Unknown manufacture Savage L/A Laminate target stock like the bvss varmint taper unfinished. Nice piece of wood. Sold

7-08mm standard barrel for a Savage. Small shank great shape has 18 rounds through it. We put my 308 barrel on my sons rifle to simplify ammunition after I put the Benchmark on mine. $75.00

Large Recoil Lug and Barrel Nut from Sharpshooter. Bought the wrong sized ones for what ended up being my 257 Roberts project. $45.00

Savage Synthetic Factory S/A stock for 4.250 w/Accutrigger (Black). $35.00

Savage Synthetic Factory S/A stock for 4.250 w/o Accutrigger (Gray). $35.00

I have no picture access from this computer but send PM's with address and I will send them tomorrow.

Thanks.

Richard

Richard do you know if the 7-08 barrel is the 1-9 twist? Is it 22" or 24" and is it with or without sights?

It is a 22 inch. No sights. Came originally on my son's 7-08 Stevens. No issues except wanting his rifle to be the same as mine at deer camp.

7mm08 Item number was 17747 and the kid got it for Christmas in 07 judging from the Nikon Monarch 6x42 receipt the following month (didn't locate the rifle receipt). I am fairly cerrtain it is not the 11.5 just from the chronology.

How cool is that!

I'm pretty sure you are right. I don't think Stevens started the 1-11 before 2009.
