F/S Savage 300WM barrel
Sent Kirby a Savage 112 BVSS 300WM and had him rebarrel/rechamber to a 270 AM so I have a 30 cal. Savage barrel for sale. Stainless, Fluted-26", plus Vais muzzle brake - 170 rounds thru it. If I remember correctly it is a 1 in 10" twist. $250 shipped CONUS. Thanks in advance.

Ugh. If you'd put this up a week ago. I'd have bought it. I just bought a Stockade Prarie Dog Special for my 112 FVSS. Good deal. Have you tried Savage Shooters?

No, I have not tried Savage Shooters, will though. Yeh, had the thing here now for two months and finally getting around to listing it. I am glad to hear we are at a fair selling price. Thanks.

How did that barrel shoot? I have a 24" ss barrel on my savage now but the 26" might give me abit more range and the fluting might help w/cooling

I will have to look at my targets from awhile back as it has been some time now since it has been shot (2005). I have (PAD-premature alzheimers disease) which is very similar to CRS disease, ;) and I hate to guess. Send me a pm with your email and I can get a pic of the last groups I shot with it and also a pic of the barrel if you would like. The groups weren't exceptional but they weren't all that bad either. I will let you decide for yourself.
I measured the barrel last night to doublecheck lengths. It is 27.5" total with the brake all the way to the end of the threads where it goes into the receiver. So the actual barrel rifling is probably just over 24". I thought originally it had a 26" barrel. Not sure how they measured it at the factory for the brochure. It sounds like their 26" was total from threads to muzzle. Anyway, those are the numbers I have. Any others questions, just let me know. Thanks,
