Criterion 6.5x47 Lapua 28” barrel – Savage Large Shank with Bullet and Brass
Criterion 6.5x47 Lapua 28” barrel – Savage Large Shank – 149 Documented Rounds. Just broken in. Looks to be a very accurate barrel. Cost $340 Shipped from Northland Shooting Supplies. It is this barrel: 28" - Stainless Match - Large Shank - Bull - 6.5x47 Lapua - 8 Twist.
I got the barrel in a recent gun deal, and it came on the gun with 19 rounds fired. I only had 2 weeks to find loads, with what I could get hold of, to shoot at a 1,000 yard fun shoot. I used RL15 and 130 Berger VLDs. Also played with 123 Amax. I was able to hit over and over again at fairly small targets at 1,025 lased yards, including a spray paint can, and all around that can before hitting it. Steady wind all day. I also hit 3” from the center of a bull on a paper target at about 1,050 yards with the only shot I took at paper. Would like to keep, but have to sell to pay for other recent purchases.
