Seal rehab

The average cost to rehabilitate a seal after the Exxon Valdez spill was $85,000. After several months of care, two of them were being released at a highly publicized ceremony. There was loud cheering, applause and high-fiving when these expensive seals were finally released back into the sea. About a minute later, in full view of the large crowd, a killer whale ate both of them.

So let's see in about a minute $190,000 was lost...must of been some Federal government program...no on second thought... couldn't have been since they piss away $ at a faster rate. Talk about a waste of money and yet people showed up to applause and celebrate...Bunch of BS. Done w/rant.

Chas, about 15 yrs ago I bought a bumper sticker that summed up my disgust with the environmental bottom feeders , who at the time, were wringing their hands about some obscure owl in the northwest, instead of contributing to the protection of forest land, as hunters and outdoorsmen had been doing for a hundred years. It says: "When all the trees are gone, you can wipe your ***** with a spotted owl"
