Another Darwin Award winner

After walking past a marked police patrol car, a man entered a gun shop to rob it. Upon seeing a uniformed officer standing at the counter, he announced the hold-up and fired several shots into the air. The uniform and a clerk immediately returned fire. Several customers also drew their pistols and opened fire.

The crime scene investigators located 47 spent casings, the paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, the subsequent autopsy revealed 23 gunshot wounds, and ballistics identified bullets from 7 different weapons.

No one else was hurt.
