Winchester m-70 firing pin design

I have a pre-64 design FN, and want to put a Tubb firing pin in it. I looked on Midway and it says for post-64. And looking on the Tubb website it doesn't say pre or post. Are the firing pin designs identical?
Thank you.

Re: Winchester m-70 firing pin design

I just had one installed on a Pre-64 Model 70 with the cocking piece, and it required a bit of fitting. I'm not sure how much as I had it done, but it works very well. As far as I know it's not going to drop in either way. Short and long were the choices I saw as well.

I kept thinking I saw it someplace, I went to the Tubb site and under the cocking piece it says the firing pin fits ALL (their caps) model 70's. The cocking piece for pre-64's requires the Tubb firing pin at the same time.
