Williams Rem 700 Floorplate

I'm able to get a McM inletted for a Williams Floorplate ("new style" as I understand). It's a bit unfair to ask Williams directly as I don't intend to buy their product, so the question is whether anyone here knows if the standard BDL bottom metal will fit? From the Williams website the new bottom metal is supposed to be "drop in" for a BDL, which my (maybe overly simplified) analysis tells me should be both ways around.

Rifle is short action 700 BDL.

I bought a Williams bottom metal set for a Rem 700 and had no problems replacing the original. I'm sure it'll fit.

I did send Williams an e-mail from their website, but haven't had a response yet. I've decided to take the stock and will see if it works. If not I'll have to try to get a floorplate sent over.
