Weatherby Accumark rebore ???

off hand, do any of you know if a fluted Accumark 30-378 takeoff barrel could be rebored to 416?

I need to do some measuring and calling, just thought I'd see if anybody thought along the same lines.

Thanks.

The price difference of new benchrest quality barrel versus reboreing is not worth considering reboreing.

I would agree, for the expense of reboring you should just get a new barrel ordered in in 416. Your finished project would more then likely shoot much better as well.

Reboring and rerifling was a process used many years ago when a new barrel was very cost prohibitive to shooters in that era, that is not the case now in fact it has swung the other way.

I just had a 22-250 rebored to 6.5X300 Win Mag. The cost was about half of a new barrel. Still waiting on dies so I haven't shot it yet. I'll post when I do get a chance to shoot it.

Was a 22-250 now 6.5X300WM. Factory 24" heavy barrel rerifled.
