Some triggers lend themselves to tuning and some are better replaced. In my opinion this is one of them.
If you want a good trigger the Timney is a good start. The very best trigger that I have used/installed
is the Jewel. It is around $200.00 but is worth every penny.
The problem with them is , once you have one you wont like any other brand.
If it was a Remington I could recommend several other brands, But for the Mod 70 It would be my first choice by a large margin.
PS: most after market triggers need require some stock inletting. they may say it is drop in, but don't believe it until you check it. There is not much to remove and It is easy to do. Just be aware
of the fit in the stock.
