Well as long as we are just babbeling and running up post count I'll take a stab at this and give you the red-neck version.
Yes as KRP pointed out Pacnor makes the parts to do what you want but your gonna have just about as much $$$ into it as you would haveing a smith fit the 338 barrel and its gonna look cobbed.
What if you sell the ADL 243 and use the funds to get the 243,338 barrerls,a .473 bolthead and magbox for the Savage you already have?

I've thought of that, except the stock (Lam A5) on my Savage isn't really a walk around and neither is the scope (NF 3.5x22x50). I don't use the .243 much, but it's nice when one of the kids wants to shoot something. It's got a nice walk around scope on it as well (Leupold).

I know some don't care for the looks of the barrel nut on a Savage. I'm not one of them, and I think PacNor's nut looks fine.



I would assume that barrel makers doing pre-fit Savages would do the same with Rem threads instead. Prices on pre-fit Savage barrels are cheap now days so for ~$300 including the nut you could rebarrel.
