?'s for the smith's

Ok I'll try my best to explain my questions so it can be understood.

1) If you designing a new case off of a parent case and are looking to reduce body taper is their a rule of thumb for how much is the absolute least taper a case can use before having extraction issue's?

2) Changing the shoulder angle what is the sharpest shoulder angle that gives a benifet without causing issue's?

Thanks in advance...
