Removing Krylon

Is it possible to remove a Krylon paint job from a blued action and barrel without ruining the original finish? If so, how?

Laquer thinner takes too long, get some spray paint remover, let sit for 20min, and wipe off, use rubbing alcohol to clean up. ed
