Re: Remington left hand short action.
The Stiller is a Remington clone. Will work with (DROP IN) your stock, trigger and any other Remington aftermarket part. That's the beauty of it. I have built several rifles and for me, this type of semi-custom action is the way to go on a precision LR rig. It's one thing to already have a donor rifle sitting in the safe, but when you have to source the action, stock, trigger, custom barrel etc., this just makes more sense.
This is taken from their website, viperactions.com (I removed some text that would not apply to you as indicated by the ...):
"The Predator line of actions are designed for hunting type of use. It can also be used for competition use in highpower and long range benchrest. It is a stainless steel drop in replacement for the Remington 700 series actions. It is available in both single shot and repeater versions in both right and left bolt. Short actions have 223, PPC, 308 and magnum boltfaces, long actions have 308 or magnum boltfaces...The 223 boltface uses the sako style extractor, while the others use a modifed M16 type. The Predator has some upgrades versus the standard Remington 700 or 40X...Why buy a Remington, spend hundreds of dollars blueprinting and still not get to the quality of this action for the same money."
