Rem bolt knob

I was wondering today if there would be anyway to make a knob that would slide over the Rem handle after the factory knob was cut off? leaving enough room for JB weld. The knob could be center bored so that a a guy could tap the the bolt handle, and install a set screw aswell. Small grooves could be put in the handle to allow more JB to grab on to. Would this be to hard to machine because of the taper in the handle?

Re: Rem bolt knob

Yeah that is sort of what I was thinking..I mean there has to be an easier way than to mill the end round and thread it..

Re: Rem bolt knob

I would do this and thread the handle or install a tactical handle

I ordered one yesterday. Should have it early next week. I'll report back once I get it on. I've been contemplating a new (bigger) knob on my Sendero any way, and this seems like a relatively inexpensive experiment to figure out if I'll really like a bigger/longer bolt knob. If I do like it, I'll probably have a real knob installed by a smith (and I'll have a really cheap KRG knob for sale ). Unless, of course, this thing is just too good to give up.

Vemon, if you do go with a new knob, let me know. I would like to try the KRG.
