Question for a gunsmith

I am working on a protype of something and I would like to know what your preference is on the measurement from the end of the rifle stock to the hole where the rear sling swivel goes.

Thanks!

Randy

I figured it was around 2.5 to 3 inches or so which is what I wanted to hear.

    Thanks,

    Randy
