MSC lathe???

have any of you got any experience with a MSC lathe? I found a real nice one in good shape, but haven't heard much about this brand. Just trying to find out if anyone here knows anything about them. I appreciate any info, Thanks!

Re: MSC lathe???

MSC carries pretty much the same machines that a lot of the distributors carry-they just have the MSC nameplate put on at the factory. You can compare their machines with similar or same models from different suppliers. Enco has some of the same machines at very reasonable prices. JET, ENCO,MSC, and several others used to carry the Taiwan "Colchester Copy" in 15-50 (very good lathe for gunsmithing) and 14-40. Grizzly also has a copy. These machines all come with a host of tooling standard. Not sure but figure several different machines from different distributors all come from one or few plants in Taiwan
