Glass beading

Glass beading

I have never glass bedded a gun be for. Is it vary hard to do, or can a knuckle head like me do it.

    It can be tricky the first time and the second time and every damn time your bed a Ruger:mad: , sorry still get cranky about the last one I did.

    But for the most part if you do the prep work and take your time its not that hard.

    I will add a note though , I have seen several guns that were
    "Glass Bedded" shoot worse after the bedding than before due to the new bedding causeing stress on the action to stock fit.

    I am getting ready to do my first bedding job here in the next couple of weeks. I bought a book for Brownells I think called "Accurizing the Factory Rifle". It is what I have been using to do the job and seems pretty indepth. It is at least indepth enough for me to do the work and does not seem that difficult.

    I agree on the Ruger the angle lug makes it a little more difficult.I believe there is a good article about bedding on the 6mm BR site.
