cz 6.5x55 mm swedish mauser to 6.5x284?

Hello I have got a cz american in 6.5x55mm and I was wondering what all I would have to do to change it over to the 6.5x284 just another barrel? and would it be very accurate with just that change?

It depends on the neck diameter in thr factory barrel if it is the same size as the 6.5x55 chamber and 6.5-284 reamer you can just rechamber the barrel without setting back but if your 6.5-284 reamer has a neck smaler than the factory 6.5x55 chamber than set the barrel back the length of the 284 neck and you are good to go. The 6.5-284 was designed to be able to be rechambered in factory 6.5x55's. But if your barrel is shot out fit a new barrel.

Might want to check the psi on your cz chamber. The 6.5x55 is a 45,000psi round. The 6.5x284 doesn't have a Std. psi. But it has to be 65,000 or over.

Don't worry about pressure they are chambered in 270's and 300 Win Mags.
