Clip slotting Rem or Howa

Gentelman

The question here is which action will work better if I was to have it clip slotted? The Rem 700 SA or the Howa SA. I was thinking of using one of the actions for a scout rifle build with CDI bottom metal and ACIS mags.

However I'm not even sure the mags can be toped off with stripper clips in the first place?

Input please.

Jon

I have also heard of using M14 box mags but have no idea how this would be accomplished?
