Once this Springfield is finished I am thinking of having coated to keep out the rust is it worth it?
as for cost, what will it do to a stainless Barrel? will this stuff be in the Barrel.

Cerakote is the finest firearm finish money can buy. It doesn't go in the barrel and it will protect your stainless barrel just fine.
