my pss tube with one in ten twist liked a vel of 2850 and thats the general rule of these girls with 10 twist

on rebarreling I got a 32" 32mm thick tube with a short throat based on calculated figures that I would need about 74gr of h1000 in the new tube instead of the 78.2 needed in the 26" tube to get the same vel

I opted for a short throat because of............I wanted the bullet to sit near ontop of powder giving 98%ish fill and touch the lands

sent in a case that had been fired but full length sized so they could match a reamer to my die and a bullet together with the math and theory

get the gun back, loaded 74gr of h1000 (trusting my math and theory)and said good bye to my ass just incase, fired that first round with no work up etc and bang....................................got it right on the very first round

of course I would never recomend not working up a load but all the calculations had been ironed out with the smith and they were in agreement

300wm are one of a rare few that are considered dangerous to download

oh yeh 210 bergers are what I feed her

the longer barrel means less powder, minimum loads, top speed, less wear, less heat and more rounds
