I like the idea of taking it back to the guy who bedded it and ask him if he'd like it free of charge to hang on the wall to generate future business. I say go for a new stock and enjoy.

This stock you have, again, is great practice fodder...

You will buy the B&C stock you yearn for and be very pleased as opposed to spending a fortune on the one you have in time, gas, more wasted time, etc., and if that rifle ever strayed on target you would blame it on the stock...I would!

THEN, you would go out and buy the B&C stock and be where you should now, except you would have spent more money on the wasted time, gas, etc., and been that much more aggravated.

My final comment is about shipping that stock back to the huckster who sold it to you; if you do he will use it to scam someone else. He would be delighted!

People like that guy have no shame and cannot be shamed. You saw behind his mask and, normally, people like that will never give you a chance to see them ever again...
