Utah 1k shooters
The carbon county shooters will be having their last match this weekend before closing down for the summer. That is the 21st of April (Saturday) outside the town of Wellington.
Email me if you would like to attend and need directions to the range.
Bring all the gear you need for 1000, 800, 500, and 100 yard matches including lots of $1 bills.

Re: Utah 1k shooters
Yes, it gets too hot down there to shoot during the summer. Daytime temps are in the 90 to 100 degree range.

But where's the fun in that!
We start at 10:00AM but guys usually start showing up at 8:30 or 9:00 to get warmed up and sighted in. If you can make it, I think you'll enjoy it.

Re: Utah 1k shooters
GG,
Thanks for the invite to the match. My wife and I had a good time. Sure was nice to meet the rest of you guys (didn't get screen names). That wind was brutal! It was also educational. I would usually go home in wind like that.
Coming home I was surprised to find clear skies and light wind. So, my wife and I added the shotguns to our collection of guns and headed to the local spot. Shooting the 8" at 800 I started with 2 minutes of wind (not 6, then 4,then 2, then 5). Donk, donk.... Then, my wife wanted to try. Didn't take long for her to start ringin' the gong. Soon, the wind died all together. Just cake after that. My wife sure enjoyed it.
Anyway, thanks again. It was fun, and got my wife started. Hope the wind gave you guys a break after I left.
