Long range / Steel matches???
Hey guys!!!
We are a couple of Canadians, looking to attend a few long range or steel matches closer to the border!!! Can anyone guide us or let us know what shoots are taking place in Montana or North / South Dakota, or Idaho!!
F-Class, Tactical, or otherwise would be of intrest to us. We are geared up and all we need is an invite on paper to satisfy the ATF to get our guns over the border!!!

Paul,
Look at the steel challenge match going on May 15 2010. It is in the NE Corner of WA State. Just 30 min South of the border on hwy 395. The match will be held just outside of Kettle Falls, WA.

How about the BCRA Int'l Rifle championships in Chilliwack over BC day weekend? F-Class @ 300/400/500/600m, on one of the most gorgeous ranges around. The following weekend is a 800/900/1000yd F-Class match @ Portland, OR - a long trip, but I know at least one person from Sasketchewan (sp?) and a couple from Alberta that make the drive.
Also, the Canadian Sniper championships are supposed to be in Chilliwack again in June.

Gary Marbutt puts on a field match (steel from 300-800 yards under time) Once a month on Saturdays, beginning in March I believe. This is just east of Missoula, MT. Also the Deep Creek range has 1K benchrest matches (just outside of MISSOULA) 10-shot groups also beginning in March I think.
In Pierre SD they have 600 yard IBS BR matches as well.

as for the 1000 yard benchrest matches at missoula, mt. check our website Home Page . i think pat has our 2010 schedule up on the home page now. you are hereby invited to come shoot one of the best 1000yard ranges in the country.

The range in Sturgis SD does a Team Precision Shoot Series. Shooting 200, 400 & 600 yards each shoot for some decent prizes. Its a good time - they do a nice job of hosting the matches and throw in some dinner too most times.
