The Burden Memorial Regional Long Range Championship
May 22,23,24,25 2009

LOCATION: Douglas Ridge Rifle Club is located 11.5 miles east of Hwy I-205. Take exit 12, and go east on Hwy 224 toward Estacada. The range is on the left side of Hwy 224, 1.8 miles past the Barton store, just before the bigBonneville Power lines.
OPEN TO: Any individual member of NRA USA or NRA Canada. Juniors may be members of an NRA affiliated club. Membership and classification cards must be shown at the registration table.
RULES: Current NRA rules and classifications will govern all matches.
ENTRIES: Entries will be limited to 60 competitors.
Late Entries will be filled on a “first come-first served” basis. We will make every effort to secure target-pullers for anyone who requests one on or before the match closing date, but cannot guarantee availability.
Souvenir Pins will be awarded to each individual who competes.
Rifles Allowed :
1 .US Palma Rifle (Rule# 3.3.3) US .308 Winchester, .223 caliber cartridge
2. Any Rifle (Rule# 3.2) or Match Rifle (Rule # 3.3) ammunition no larger than 35 caliber
3. Service Rifle (Rule# 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.4, 3.1.5) may use .223 , .308 , 30-06
4. F-Class Rifle (Rule # 3.4a or 3.4 b ) may use any ammunition , any rifle, ammunition no larger than .35 cal.
In F-Class, bipod rifle with scope may be used in any match, and if used the shooter will be classified as a bipod shooter in all matches.
To qualify for awards, a competitor must compete both Saturday and Sunday. (Team match awards will be given separately).
NRA long-range targets will be used at ranges 800, 900, and 1000 yards.
ENTRY FEES: The fee for2 days is $70.00 (including the NRAfee) forall matchesexcept the team match. NRA fees are $9.00 per competitor, $5.00 per team
.Entry fee for the 4 person team match is $25.00 per person. ( includes target service ).
Team captains must enter teams and pay team fees by Sunday @4pm.
Entry for one day is $40.00 (including the NRAfee).
Junior package fee - $60.00 for all individual matches, team match $15.00
Target pullers, subject to availability $15.00 per day per competitor (If available pay stat Officer at match)
The clubhouse will be open the afternoon of May 22rd thru the end of the tournament. We have a kitchen and showers. Overnight parking will be allowed.
Practice
Friday 10AM
There will be an organized practice
25 min at each yard line, per relay.
$5.00 per competitor. No paid target service will be provided for practice.
Matches
SATURDAY 9:00am
MATCH 1. Palma

800 yds, * unlimited sighter shots, 15 shots for score, time 22minutes
900 yards, 2SS, 15 shots for score, time limit 22 minutes
1000 yards, 2SS, 15 shots for score, time limit 22 minutes


MATCH 2. Any Rifle , Iron Sight (Rule# 3.2, 3.7)
* Unlimited sighter shots and 20 shots for score. 1000 yds.
Timelimit: 30 minutes.
* Shooter must inform scorer before firing first record shot in all matches having unlimited sighters.
SUNDAY 9AM

MATCH 3. Palma

800 yds, *unlimited sighter shots, 15 shots for score, time 22minutes
900 yards, 2SS 15 shots for score, time limit 22 minutes
1000 yards, 2SS 15 shots for score, time limit 22 minutes

MATCH 4. Any Rifle, Any Sight (Rule# 3.2, 3.7)
* Unlimited sighter shots and 20 shots for score. 1000 yds.
Timelimit 30 minutes.

* Shooter must inform scorer before firing his first record shot in all
matches having unlimited sighter shots.
MATCH 5 . Regional Championship Match. Grand Aggregate, Matches 1-4. Note, matches 1,3 must use Palma Rifle (rule # 3.3.3).
MONDAY 9AM

MATCH 6. “Palma” 4-Person Team Match

2SS and 15 shots for score at each range of 800, 900, and 1000 yards for each firing member,
time 22 minutes per string plus 3-minute preparation time per shooter.
NOTE: Match 6 must be fired with a .308 Winchester cartridge, .223 caliber cartridge
NOTE Pick-up teams and all f-class teams will be allowed in the team matches. Pick-up teams will not qualify for national records.

Catagory Awards; Palma/ match. Service Rifle. F-class.
F-Class will be separated into two classes. Open / TR
Special Awards; High woman, High Junior, High senior and high grand senior. $5.00 to each category, (must have 3 or more per for award).
Classes will be combined if fewer than 5 entries in a class.
Fewer than 5 high masters will shoot for open awards only.
Match and class winners are not eligible for special awards.

MATCH 6 Team Match

Winning team awarded plaques and $10.00 for each firing member and coach. ( minimum of 3 teams )
F -Class winning team awarded $10.00 to each firing member. (min. of 2 teams ).
Awards Disposition:

1. Regional Medallions will be awarded to the top 3 competitors of Match 5.
2. Awards will be given for Aggregate Match scores and Individual scores.
3. Class Awards will be given to the high scorer(s) in each class as follows: one award will be given for each 5 entrants in the class, up to a maximum of 3 awards. (5 entrants=one award, 10 entrants=2 awards, 15 entrants=3 awards)
A. Classes with less than 5 entrants may be combined with a higher class, or a singular award may be given for that class, at the discretion of the Stat Officer. (No classifications will be combined with High Master class.)
B. Unclassified entrants will be placed into the Master Class for awards purposes.
C. High Master entrants are eligible for open awards only, if less than 5 shooters compete in that class.
