Backyard Turkeys

Woke up this morning to these in the back yard. Pic quality isn't the best, but I did manage to keep my thumbs out of them.

We don't get to see turkey in the backyard very often, but every once in a while they show up. First time I've managed to get them on film.

Nice pics. They came in because of those blue decoys you have hanging.

And here I thought they were going to use those for a good roost

WI runs a 5 day season(wed-sun) for 6 consecutive weeks. You get one, sometimes two tags. If you're fortunate enough to get two, they may be for the same time period or they may be for two different time periods. The first week just ended today.

This is the first year in the last eight or so that I didn't apply for a tag. Probably a good thing, if I'd of had a tag that double beard may have been more temptation than I could of handled.
