If i couldnt have a hmr i would own a 22 mag for sure. As it is my 17 can make 150yrd crow kills. SWEET

    JPbaker, what are your varmints? Plinking is based on cost, and varmint is based on the size. If you want a squirrel killer out to 125 yards, and want to do it cheaper than the hmr, the hm2 is the cartridge for you. If you want a predator killer, the bigger bullet of the wmr will be better for body shots. If you don't mind the cost, and want to shoot little holes, or small animals far away, the hmr will be for you.
