Anyone know the BC of a .50 cal 180gr round ball?

Long range shooting is a process that ends with a result. Once you start to focus on the result (where the shot goes, how big the group is, what your buck will score, what your match score is, what place you are in...) then you loose the capacity to focus on the process.

I was gonna guess somewhere in the negative figures.


A 45 caliber 300 grain bullet is a bit over .2

A 22 LR bullet is .11 or .16 I think.

180 grain .50 cal round ball must be .05 or lower.

I'm too lazy to get up and go get my Lyman Black Powder Loading manual which contains the BC's for Round Balls but for my 54 cal the BC is 0.07.

Instead of using G1 or G7 for regular jacket bullets and boattails you use GS for roundballs.
