Where in Montana?

Hello I am new too the forum, and to montana, moved out here from wyoming and am in need for some rock dog shooting and gophers. I live in Lolo which is south of missoula and I dont see much for varmints but I have been over by deerlodge for gophers. I was wandering where would be best to look for rock dogs? The helena area or butte I know of some spots over in Livingston but thats kinda far. Any info helps thanks.
