Selection of NightForce scope

I have the rifle, rail & rings- (Savage 12LRPV 6mmBR 1:8)
Shooting PD's at 400+ yards.
Hopefully at 800+ yards
Targets 200-1000 yards.

I have been looking at the NXS 8-32x56 & the 5.5-22x50 or 56.

Opinions?

Also, on the reticle I'm considering:
NP-R1 & NP-R2
should I consider any others?

Any & all help appreciated.

the 5.5-22 x 50 should be plenty good as most if not all of your shooting will be during the daylight hours.

The 8-32 x 56 is a bit big in size and power but is a mighty fine scope. I shot one this summer and noted that "I thought" 22 was sufficient power but 32 was impressive. At 1000 yards a dickey bird was an easy looking target at 22 power but any part of that same dickey bird was a decent target at 32 power.

Two bad you are lookng to get only one of the three.
