Saw my 1st G-hog today

Well let me clarify. I saw my first alive groundhog today. I saw one yesterday along the road, but he wasnt moving. I'm getting really excited about this season.

Yeah, I'm starting to see one every now and then and I'm looking forward to "drawing first blood". I saw one Wednesday waddling across a cornfield. I went to get permission from the landowner and he was no where to be found when I got back.
There's been snow on the ground up here in Va. since Thanksgiving and I saw one in January crawling across the snow! No kidding. I was only about 6 miles from home and had a fleeting thought of fetching my .243. JohnnyK.
