Bud
You would be suprised what you can see with your zies. I have a 80 mm swaro hd with the 20-60x eyepiece and thats what we used. Your 24x leupy isn't going to get it. I have a nightforce 12-42 and my shooting partner has a 10-60x March.

Topshot
Thats is exactly what we did till we found some bullets hit the dirt. The guide took the 4 wheeler out to within 100 yds and about 100yds to the side and watched with binos till he seen some bullets hit then radioed back and we made adjustments. Then he was able to come back and spot shots with the spotter.

Justgoto
We are both shooting 300wsm with 210 bergers going 2950. They are both rem. actions mine has a broughton bbl. his has a krieger bbl.. Mine has a lee six br stock and his has a mcmillian. The scope mounts my partner desighned and had built and are a slight copy of the Harbor Engineering mount. Ours are more durable with less moving parts.

If someone wants to post them I haven't been able to post pics here I will send them to your email.

Re: pd at 3260yds

Thanks MachV for posting the pics for me.

The guy in the pics is my shooting partner and his is the blue and white rifle. Mine is the green one. Thats his daughter who last year we got into the 1000yd club along with my girlfriend.

The pic with the dot in the middle is showing down along where we were shooting. Just to the right of the dot is a small silver dot that is a grain been at 2 miles.

The other pic is thru the spotting scope shows the rock pile and mounds around it where we were shooting and it is to the left of the grain bin.

Thanks again MachV

Re: pd at 3260yds

Just curious, but what is the cant on that scope base/ring set, and what are you zeroing your scope at?

I am thinking you're zeroing at like 2000 yards or something, just to have enough come-ups. Or do you use those bases just for shooting out that far, and have it zeroed out closer to that?

Pretty impressive, and I hope you do it next year.

Re: pd at 3260yds PICS ADDED

My partners mount is able to be zeroed at 100 yds. There is roughly .75" of adjustment in the mount. Mine needs to be milled off a little but now it is zeroed around 1275 yds. My mount was finished just 2 weeks before we left and my barrel was not chambered until 8 days before we left so I did not have time to set it up correctly. It still worked excellent just needs some fine tuning and I only use it for extreme long range. When shooting at 3260 I was .397 off the botton of the mount and I had about 18 moa in the scope.

Re: pd at 3260yds

Wow!!!! 3260 yds at a pd is way out of my league. Very impressive and some serious hardware I might add. Good luck on next year.
