Berger 52gr .224" varmint/match bullets?

I found a place I can get my hands on some Berger 52gr. varmint/match bullets cheap. Does anyone have any experience with these bullets? Good or bad? These would be shot out of a 1:12" 22-250.

should work in your gun. they are accurate but i wish they were boat tail instead of flat base.

Would it be a good idea to try these bullets? I shoot the 52gr Speer HP(FB)s now, they look almost identical, but the Berger has a better BC. The Speer BC is .179 (had to contact Speer for clarification on this one, as they have 2 different BCs posted in different places).

Re: Berger 52gr .224" varmint/match bullets?

I shoot the Berger 52gr Match bullet over 29.7 gr of H322 in Win cases with CCI BR2 primers out of my 1-12" 22-250 Savage LRPV. They are the most accurate bullets/load I've found for that gun so far.

This is my best group so far, but they will average about .25" at 100yds. I would definately give them a try.

If it were me and i was trying to get out to longer ranges i'd try some 60 JLK Low Drags. That bullet has a BC of .339. It'll shoot .5 at 100 out of my buddy's factroy Savage Striker handgun and we shot a clover-leafed 3-shot 2.5" gp. @ 425 not long ago.
