25-06 Sendero varmint laods

I just recently picked up a sendero in a 25-06. This is going to be my dedicated varmint rig this year. I just picked up some 87grain speer tnt's, 85 grain ballistic tips and 90 grain sierra blitzkings. Any of you guys had any luck with these bullets in the sendero? Im curious if the 1:10 twist of the sendero will stabilize these light bullets.

Re: 25-06 Sendero varmint laods

I haven't experimented a ton, but the Nosler #7 best load of 57gr. of RL19 was really good in my Rem 700 and the NBT 85gr. This is a max charge according to manual. I am not a very proficient marksman and this shot 1.12" @ 100 in a 1976 BDL.

COAL of 3.250
0.060 from the lands

At the same D2L, this load was better than H1000, Big Game, RL15, W780 and IMR4064. The H1000 I believe will be equally as solid with a little work.

10" twist is fine with those bullets. I used IMR 4064, don't have my data book handy at the moment, with Sierra 87 gr in my 10" twist 25-06 and it was a one hole shooter and would red mist a ground hog. I mainly use my 25-06 with 49 grs IMR 4350, CCI 250 primer, Rem case and 117 Sierra Pro Hunter flat base bullet for deer. 3000 fps, shoots bug holes at 100 and 1 1/2" at 300 yards and kills deer BANG FLOP.

My buddies Sendero loves 52 grs IMR 4350 with 100 gr Sierra sp and 52 grs H-4831 with 117 Sierra, Rem case, CCIBR2 primers.

Thanks RT i'll give the speers a try with some 4064. I have a bunch of 4350 as well so i'll try it with 100 grainers and see how that works out.

That's fantastic. There's a few powders that are not thought of necessarily as "typical" 25-06 powders that show promise. H1000, RL25, 7828SSC, to name a few, fill the case and get in the ballpark velocity wise at a slightly lesser pressure.
