I messed around with the 110 V-max from my Savage 12fv with pretty impressive results. Repeatable .5 MOA with my best loads.
110gr V-Max Rem 9.5 primer 40.5gr RE-7 2.166" to Ogive Good for 3170fps. With the velocities being touted using 748 I may have to give it a try and see how accuracy is. How temp. sensitive is 748? Actually got the first Groundhog of the summer today at about 180 yards. The hog looked like it had been gutted with a knife, and no exit wound. The bullet just disintegrated inside. ![]() |
