For me it would be between the 223ai and surpressed 243 and of those two I would pick the one that shoots the best.

If your looking to keep the pelts, I've always been told to stay with the .17's and .22's.

Don't take this as some kind of gospel though. I'm just repeating what I've been told.

I think it would be foolish to spend the $$ on a build when you have 2 .243s, I would put that money towards gas to hunt more. I'm shooting 85gr sierra BTHPs out of mine and absolutely love them, very little to no pelt damage and it drops em like a bad habit!

When I run my shorty 243 with the shark can it shoots 105 amass into tiny groups. As for How the silencer works. When I hunt with friends and I shoot it they need to be within 50-75 to hear it. It they are upwind they usually don't hear anything. As for how coyote react it makes doubles seam easy. The only downside is its a varmint contour and had a Schmidt and bender pmII so it's a little heavy when walking in snow shoes for miles.

6.5x284 with 140 bergers is hard to beat at long range. Any of your guns should be good at killing coyotes.

.25-06...right in the middle there. bullet weights from 70 gr to 120. 115's shoot VERY well. Tons of factory ammo and mild recoil. Just built my first one. with cheapo factory ammo shoots under half inch at 100 with 117gr hornady custom. And the groups were #2,3 and 4 out of the gun. .243 is a great option, but this will have a bit more oomph at 600+.
