More info about what type of light you'r replacing and how you hunt the fox's , would assist.
    I use three different lights.
Scope mounted Lighforce 140 50 watt QH on a 223 Howa.
Handheld Lightforce 170 100 watt QH for out the truck window .

Roof mounted internal manual remote control 150 watt Power Beam ( you may not be able to buy this light in the USA , I'm not sure) http://www.powabeam.com.au/products/...Spotlight.html

Also lots of high performance led torch options for scope mounting now on a walk about rig.
HID globes are also an option in some lights .

How does the Night Eyes Gun Light compare to the Kill Light XLR250 Red in terms of lumens, spot diameter at a given distance, and battery life?

Re: What lights are you guys using?

Once you ask this question and start researching you will quickly realize that there are some pretty crazy flashlight nuts out there. Just as opinionated as gun nuts. I bought some off a site in china, Deal xtreme. I know, China is evil, but if you want the best milk, go to a cow farm, best LED's, they all come from China. I have a scope mounted Skyray, and a $20 led headlamp. I made red and amber filters out of light filter paper. These are small lights, and only cost probably $50 for both. The xtreme part is referring to how slow the shipping is. It took about 2 months, so I didn't get to use them last year. I haven't really used them much this year because I haven't had many nights to hunt because of work. But I could easily shoot 250 yards with the scope mounted light, and definitely pick up eyes with the headlamp at that distance. Thats not really how hunting goes here, so the lights are way overkill for the 30 yd encounters. Lots of options out there and I am sure you can get similar lights without waiting 2 months like I did.
