Managed to whack this big male as he was circling downwind. Took him running a 162gr Amax out of my 14" 7-30 Waters. Dirt-napped him when the hammer dropped.

I have missed coyotes at that range with a rifle. (and every other range as well..)
They do not cooperate as well as other animals.
Good show. I used to hunt with Contenders, so I know what it takes to put a good shot together. Truly, well done!

Thank you good sir! I'm a dedicated handgunner and you're right, it takes a bit more getting set up on them and a lot more variables to consider. That's why I switched over solely to the handguns. Hoping for some long range work on them with my . 300 WSM XP here soon.
