Tricky Coyotes
Man!! The yotes are putting it on me this season. I am going through a dry spell like no other. I am doing the same thing with the same call I have been using for a few years now. What worked before just doesn't cut it. Even when in vergin private ground. Going out again in the am in hopes to brake this bad luck. Anyone else having a year like this??
Jeff

Re: Tricky Coyotes
I have shot a 1/2 dozen or so but only one I called in. The rest were spot and whack with the LR rigs. Guess I will keep at it.

Broz
We are in the same boat. Had some luck early in Oct and one first part of Nov but has been dry since. I just got back from thousands of virgin acres as well and nothing. All I can say is the weather is to blame
Takes just one good day to turn it all around. Wish you luck!

Re: Tricky Coyotes
We had two really good snows in December here in southern new Mexico (good snow is it actually snowed). This seemed to help them get out and about more. I have only been On 5 stands but have gotten a coyote in three of them. Crazy thing is, I got all three coyotes at the same stand just on different days. All 3 were males and was only 300 yds from my house. Just have to keep plugging along, try different calls. When a distress call hasn't been working for me, I try howlIng and that seems to work.
