It's most certainly not BS, nor would you need to hold at the moon.
These guys have made LOTS of ELR hits on coyotes and they've got the videos to back it up. HOWEVER. I'm less impressed than I'd like to be, simply because they always coordinate their shots to double their odds and quite often, they don't achieve instant kills, either having poor expansion or gut/butt shots. Not something I like doing if I can help it.
With that distance in my location, I could dial 20 mils for 168 VLDs or 17.2 mils for 180 VLDs on my 7mm for an accurate shot. Depending on the wind, I would think this could be done in 2-3 tries with my set up and should be exponentially easier with a high bc 300 WM or 338 these guys are shooting.
They make some pretty incredible shots with lesser calibers too though.
