It is well worth the money, I went through the same thoughts but since I have got mine I have never looked back. You won't be disapointed, just make sure you get the Mark II sounds on it, you can download them from the website.

That would be this one: FOXPRO, Inc. - The True Leader in Digital Game Calls.

You can call Mike Dillon, the owner, and get sound recommendations.
He is hunting with Byron South right now in Pennsyvania but should be back soon.

You will like the FOXPRO!

You can also find used ones on the various message boards if you look around a bit.

Good Hunting,

Bob

FX3

I have one and I like it except that I dont use it without the FoxPro horn. I don't think there's enough volume produced without the horn.
Carrying the foxpro and the clumsy large horn is a chore for which I use a backpack.
WildLife Technologies is another brand name call with a remote control etc. The W.T. design includes a large horn whereas FoxPro sells the caller then the horn as an accessory.
I'd go with the W.T. is I could do it again.
I might sell my 2 yr old FX3 Foxpro with horn , decoy,

And, of course, you want to check to make sure that using an electronic caller is legal in your state or province. For example, they are illegal in Alberta for hunting purposes. You can use them for photography (which is probably what AlbertaAl is doing - if he's in Alberta) but you can't use them for hunting.
Be sure and check the rules for your particular jurisdicition.
