Big Foxes

First post here, but some of you likely know me from other forums. I wanted to introduce myself with a few pictures of what I'm up to this winter. Here's a few of the big Alaskan foxes I've gotten this year. Between trapping, spot and stalk, and calling, I'm having a blast! Many of these were taken between 200-400 yds with a 17 Remington.

Thanks for posting. I never see foxes of mixed color like that. Is that common?

The cross foxes are the most common here, followed by reds and silvers.

Wow. Those look totally different than they do here. I am not sure I've killed a coyote that size yet...

Speaking of coyotes, how big are them buggers up there?

No coyotes here. These fox were brought to Kodiak Island by the Russians a few hundred years ago to farm them. They are Siberian breeding stock. Here's one of the silvers I got along with another cross fox. They are all red fox, just different color phases. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
