.223 Coyote Load. Need advice.

I just use either of my normal military spec loads (ex M855). Then instead of loading them with FMJ-BT projectile, I will make a run of 250 with Nosler Varmint bullets instead.

Good accurate shots at various distances yet doesn't mess up the pelt too bad. Tears them up really bad on the inside though ;-)

If M855 spec is too heavy 62 grains maybe try the other less hot military spec 223 load that is more common based on the 55 grain FMJ-BT...

we have used 60gr Nosler/pt for a couple of years havent done major damage to the pelts.
Starting to use the 65gr Sierra game king friend likes them alot and says that the pelts
turning out with very little damage. Will let you know how they shoot later.......

On coyote I us the Hornady 50g. SP XP. I have never had a passthrough.

50 gr nosler ballistic tips work great for me and its a pin hole in and a pin hole out with a hella mess inside.

Interesting on pinhole in and out. It doesn't make sense to me on the bullet not expending its energy inside the animal. The full metal jacket is the reason the military is required to use them. I know the SP XP I use completely comes apart inside the yote expending all energy on the organs. That's 1283 ft. lbs. of energy (at lease at the muzzle) being expended inside the animal.

I use two different loads in .223 in bolt guns I use 40gr.v-max and in the AR I use 55gr. nosler ballistic tips both work very well, with little or no pelt damage usually they dont exit. Have been sucessful out to 500yds with both.
