I have a question:
On the barrel I see to black rings, is the black electrical tape or a LimbSaver® Barrel De-Resonator and electrical tape?
Again nice work!
Just electrical tape. The stuff at the muzzle is just to keep rain and rubbish out of the muzzle brake
, the ring of tape in front of the fore end is to stop the sling loop sliding up the barrel. On this gun I use the swivel stud to hold the bipod and the sling is looped over the barrel to get the rifle slung lower on my shoulder so that it catches less pushing through heavy timber. Also when I'm climbing bluffs with it slung diagonally and both hands occupied holding on and climbing, the muzzle doesn't catch on the rock above me so much. It stays put better and doesn't swing off at the wrong monent when I'm in a particularly sticky place clinging like a limpet and the rifle moving can tip me off the face.
I slip it off the barrel before firing any long shots, but in the testing I did, it didn't seem to affect the point of impact anyway.
