Greg:
Great article and super reading. I really enjoyed it.
It always amazes me how things that initially sound like they are so similar to what I'm used to, are actually very very different in reality. So similar sounding to our hunts but really so much different that I find your stories very interesting to say the least.
Keep up the good work and I'm looking to more of your stories in the future.

Greg,
Fantastic article on a great hunt!
Is refreshing to read that kind of story, based on a way that all hunts should be made of.
Keep sending more!

That was some fierce terrain to be hunting and some harsh conditions. Very interesting hunt. Thanks for the story.

Greg,
Excellent reading! ss7mm coments are very truthful. Beautiful country and though I'm kind of tough for a 350 lbs man, that country is not for me to hunt in. I'd need wings!
I have a question:
On the barrel I see to black rings, is the black electrical tape or a LimbSaverŽ Barrel De-Resonator and electrical tape?
Again nice work!

Eaglet,
Just electrical tape. The stuff at the muzzle is just to keep rain and rubbish out of the muzzle brake, the ring of tape in front of the fore end is to stop the sling loop sliding up the barrel. On this gun I use the swivel stud to hold the bipod and the sling is looped over the barrel to get the rifle slung lower on my shoulder so that it catches less pushing through heavy timber. Also when I'm climbing bluffs with it slung diagonally and both hands occupied holding on and climbing, the muzzle doesn't catch on the rock above me so much. It stays put better and doesn't swing off at the wrong monent when I'm in a particularly sticky place clinging like a limpet and the rifle moving can tip me off the face.
I slip it off the barrel before firing any long shots, but in the testing I did, it didn't seem to affect the point of impact anyway.
Greg
